FAQs

Questions about selling your vehicle

Straight answers on what we buy, how pricing works, collection and what you need on the day.

How do I sell my car for cash?

Call 0800 822 335 or send the quote form with the make, model, year and condition. We give you a cash offer, and if you accept, we book a time to collect the vehicle and pay you when we arrive.

Do you buy damaged cars?

Yes. Dents, panel damage, rust, flood damage and mechanical faults are all fine, as long as the engine and transmission are still in the vehicle.

Do you buy cars that don't run?

Yes. Non-running vehicles are a big part of what we collect. Our trucks can load cars that won't start or roll on their own.

Do you buy cars without a WOF?

Yes. We buy cars with or without a WOF. A current WOF isn't required to sell your car to us.

Do you buy cars without registration?

Yes. We buy registered and deregistered cars. You still need photo ID and proof that you own the vehicle.

Do you buy accident-damaged cars?

Yes, including crashed, rolled and written-off vehicles, provided the engine and transmission are complete.

Do you buy utes?

Yes. Work utes, farm utes and 4WD utes in any condition.

Do you buy vans?

Yes. Passenger vans, cargo vans and campervan conversions are all welcome.

Do you buy trucks?

Yes. Light and commercial trucks — tell us the size and weight when you get in touch so we can send the right truck.

Do you buy scrap cars?

Yes, scrap and end-of-life cars are fine. We don't buy bare shells or vehicles with an incomplete engine or transmission.

How much is my car worth?

It depends on the make, model, year, condition, whether it runs and whether parts are missing. Send us those details (photos help) and we'll give you a firm cash offer.

Do you provide free car removal?

Yes. Collection is free anywhere in Southland when we buy your vehicle.

How quickly can you collect my vehicle?

Same-day pickup is often possible. We'll confirm a collection time when you accept our offer.

Do you collect vehicles outside Invercargill?

Yes. We collect across the Southland region, including Gore, Winton, Riverton, Te Anau and the towns in between.

Do you collect from rural Southland?

Yes. Farms, rural sections and worksites are fine. Just tell us where the vehicle is and how easy it is to reach.

What information do I need for a quote?

Make, model, year, rough kilometres, condition, whether it runs, whether any parts are missing, and where the vehicle is. Photos are optional but help us give an accurate price.

Do I need to own the vehicle?

Yes. You'll need photo ID and proof of ownership, such as the registration or ownership papers. Please have the keys ready if you have them.

What happens when you collect my vehicle?

We check the vehicle matches the description, sight your ID and ownership papers, pay you by cash or bank transfer (your choice), then load the vehicle and take it away.
